OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY
Mike Wolos was born and raised in Kiel, in the northern part of Germany. Since childhood, He was always very good at making things with his hands so naturally as a young man he started as an "Apprentice Furniture Maker" in his Uncle's furniture and millwork company. Mikes Uncle, being a perfectionist was very strict with him (although he did not appreciate it then) but now Mike treasures the vast amount of knowledge that his Uncle passed on.
"So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than
to enjoy his work, because that is his lot."
"I consider myself very privileged to make a career doing what I really love to do. In my lifetime I have built many different, unique, and interesting pieces of furniture. A few years ago I started making coffee tables with several compartments after a client ordered a custom-made coffee table. It has since become my love and passion to make tables that are truly unique, one of a kind pieces of functional art. Though I might make more than one piece that are similar in design, no two of them are exactly alike. Every piece is named, dated, and signed. I have found that you can always tell a masterpiece by looking at the underside. It should have received the same attention to detail and finishing as the exposed sides. I always strive for perfection in design and craftsmanship.
